Micromachines MDPI
Micromachines MDPI (ISSN 2072-666X) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal, which provides an advanced forum for studies on micro/nano-scaled structures, materials, devices and systems. The journal publishes reviews, original research articles, and communications in this field. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their theoretical and experimental results in as much detail as possible. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers or the number of electronic supplementary files. Full details on experiments, materials and methods must be provided for a research article so that the results can be reproduced.
Micromachines received an updated CiteScore of 4.5 in 2021 on Scopus. In addition, we expect to receive a higher IF (around 3.5) at 2022 when the JCR releases 2021 IF (The real-time impact factor of Micromachines in 2021 is 3.488 currently).

PICadvanced
PICadvanced is a SME company based in Aveiro, Portugal, which excels providing innovative solutions based on photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for standard optical interfaces and in developing products for access networks transceivers. PICadvanced was the first company to qualify efficient tunable optics implemented using novel techniques of co-design of electronics and optics for the NG -PON2 standard.
At the same time, PICadvanced offers consulting services to support customers solve their challenges from concept to implementation, including workflow control and supply chain management. This support includes optical component simulation and design for the various platforms and foundries available in the market; an innovative packaging solution that can be delivered at housing or transceiver level; and full characterization at component, module and transceiver levels to bring novel ideas to the next big product. Additionally, PICadvanced offers capability for designing electronic and control circuits (including software, firmware and DSP development), mainly oriented to optical network systems transceivers based on optical sub-assembly components or photonic integrated circuits, providing a full solution which brings together optics and electronics.
